Lexus India has opened bookings for the all-new ES 350h, the self-charging hybrid electric variant of its eighth-generation executive sedan, further strengthening its electrified portfolio in the country. Positioned alongside the recently introduced ES 500e, the ES 350h embodies Lexus’s multi-pathway approach to carbon-neutral mobility while reinforcing its long-term commitment to manufacturing in India.

Expanding Lexus’ electrified lineup in India

The ES has been one of Lexus’ core global models since its debut alongside the flagship LS in 1989, known worldwide for its quietness, ride comfort and spacious interiors. In India, the ES has been a key pillar of the brand’s lineup and has significantly shaped Lexus’ image in the market.

The all-new ES 350h will be manufactured in India, building on the success of the previous locally produced ES 300h. This reinforces Lexus’ deep engagement with the Indian market and ensures that Indian guests receive a product built to global Lexus standards while benefiting from local production advantages. The ES 350h now joins the ES 500e as part of the next-generation electrified ES family, offering guests a choice between Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) powertrains.

Bookings are now open across all Lexus Guest Experience Centres in India, with the ES 350h offered in two variants:

  • Exquisite: ₹66,10,000 (ex-showroom)

  • Luxury: ₹71,80,000 (ex-showroom)

Lexus’ vision: multi-pathway electrification and Indian manufacturing

Commenting on the announcement, Hikaru Ikeuchi, President of Lexus India, highlighted that the all-new ES 350h will be manufactured in India, reaffirming the brand’s enduring commitment to the Indian market. He emphasized that the model reflects Lexus’ multi-pathway approach to electrification, combining hybrid and battery-electric technologies to advance sustainable mobility.

He noted that the ES 350h has long been cherished by Indian guests and that the response to the new generation has been very encouraging. Built in India with Lexus’ Takumi craftsmanship and aligned with global quality standards, the ES 350h is designed to deliver advanced technology, exceptional ride comfort and remarkable stability, all rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi, or thoughtful hospitality.

Next-generation design: “Provocative Simplicity” and Clean Tech x Elegance

As the eighth-generation ES, the all-new model has been completely redesigned to serve as the flagship of Lexus’ next-generation electrified lineup. It introduces Lexus’ new design language, guided by the philosophy of “Provocative Simplicity,” and a design concept called “Clean Tech x Elegance.”

The ES combines functional and emotional values to create a clean, sophisticated aesthetic. The theme “Pleasant Time for All Seats” has shaped the interior and overall experience, ensuring a relaxing, refined environment for every occupant. Building on its established strengths in quietness and ride comfort, the new ES further enhances driving refinement, cabin ambience and long-distance comfort.

Dimensionally, the ES 350h is larger than its predecessor, with a longer wheelbase, increased width and a taller profile. These changes contribute to:

  • A more commanding road presence

  • Greater interior space

  • Enhanced comfort for both front and rear occupants

Signature Lexus design cues, such as L-shaped lighting and a refined rear profile, are complemented by integrated technologies like electronic door latches with Safe Exit Assist, which add both convenience and safety.

The ES 350h will be available in six premium exterior colours:

  • White Nova

  • Sonic Titanium

  • Sonic Chrome

  • Graphite Black

  • SOU (new)

  • Sonic Copper (new)

Two interior colour options are offered, tailored to different lifestyle and aesthetic preferences.

Intuitive, tech-rich interior with new multimedia system

Inside, the ES 350h adopts the Tazuna cockpit concept, which places key controls and information within easy reach and line of sight, helping the driver feel more connected and in control. The cabin is designed to be intuitive and refined, balancing advanced technology with a calm, welcoming ambience.

Key interior features include:

  • A new-generation multimedia system with a 14.0-inch high-definition touchscreen running the latest Lexus Interface

  • A fully digital instrument cluster that presents key vehicle information clearly and conveniently

  • The world’s first responsive hidden switches (as of April 2025, based on Lexus internal data), which seamlessly integrate functionality into the interior design, improving both usability and aesthetics

New hybrid system for refined performance and efficiency

The all-new ES 350h introduces a newly developed hybrid system that combines:

  • A highly efficient 2.5-litre inline 4-cylinder petrol engine

  • A new eAxle with the Power Control Unit integrated into the transaxle

  • A compact, lightweight lithium-ion battery with high output capability

This system is engineered to deliver:

  • A strong balance of power and fuel efficiency

  • Enhanced quietness and smoothness

  • Improved overall driving refinement

The hybrid powertrain reflects Lexus’ focus on delivering performance without compromising on economy or comfort, making the ES 350h suitable for both city commutes and long-distance travel.

Advanced safety with Lexus Safety System+

Guest safety remains central to Lexus’ philosophy. The ES 350h is equipped with the latest Lexus Safety System+, a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies designed to support the driver with more natural, human-like interventions.

Key features include:

  • Enhanced Pre-Collision System (PCS)
