29 KMPL Mileage, 160 HP Power & October 17 Launch
Renault India has started accepting bookings for the much-awaited Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 and the numbers are absolutely intimidating for the competition. Offering ARAI-certified 29 kmpl, 160 hp power and an October 17 launch date, Renault has left the competition sweating. With bookings open at Rs. 21,000, the French automaker is targeting customers who are looking for hybrid vehicles that do not require plugging in the vehicle.
The Renault Duster Hybrid will directly take on the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Hybrid and Toyota Hyryder Hybrid but with more power and higher fuel efficiency, Renault might have just created the most sought-after hybrid SUV in the country.

Mileage: 29 kmpl – Highest in Segment
The best part about the Renault Duster Hybrid is its claimed 29 kmpl ARAI-certified mileage. With that kind of fuel efficiency on board, the Duster Hybrid will outperform the competition both in terms of mileage and power.

Hybrid Powertrain Explained
The multi-mode transmission of the Duster Hybrid can operate in multiple modes depending on the requirement.
Pure EV mode – Electric motor powers the vehicle at low speeds
Hybrid mode – Electric motor and petrol engine work together to deliver the best efficiency
Engine mode – Petrol engine directly powers the wheels at higher speeds for better performance
Regenerative mode – Kinetic energy from braking and deceleration is converted into electricity to charge the battery
The hybrid powertrain of the Duster Hybrid does not require any external charging as the regenerative brakes are capable of doing that on their own.
