Hero MotoCorp has launched the revised Xtreme 160R 4V and improved Xtreme 250R in India at introductory prices of Rs. 1.27 lakh and Rs. 1.98 lakh ex-showroom Delhi respectively. New features like ride-by-wire throttle control, cruise control and TFT instrumentation have been added, making the motorcycles two of the most feature-rich bikes in their respective segments.

Xtreme 160R 4V has got new bodywork and additional safety features while the 250R introduces an upgraded electronics package and rear suspension. Bookings for the motorcycles started on October 17, 2026 and deliveries will commence from November 1.

Xtreme 160R 4V: Cybersharp Styling and 3 Riding Modes

The Xtreme 160R 4V, which was launched in 2023, now gets Hero’s Cybersharp styling with sleeker tank shrouds and redesigned body panels. The contoured fuel tank provides enhanced knee grip and ground reach.

Key design highlights include:

Cybersharp styling with sleeker tank shrouds

Class D LED headlamp with ambient light sensor

Automatic illumination and projector high beam

H-shaped LED daytime running lights

H-shaped LED tail lamp and LED indicators

Red and black front wheel rim finishes

The 163cc oil-cooled, four-valve engine delivers a claimed 16.9 hp at 8,750 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Hero claims that it can achieve 0-60 kmph in just 4.4 seconds.

The electronic throttle provides Rain, Road and Sport riding modes, with Rain mode reducing throttle response for slippery roads, while Sport mode enhances it for sportier riding.

Cruise control is a segment-first feature on the 160R 4V. This allows riders to maintain a constant speed on highways, reducing rider fatigue.

The maintenance schedule specifies no engine-oil change or tappet adjustment before 6000 km, which is a welcome change for daily commuters.

Braking on the 160R 4V comes from 276 mm front and 220 mm rear petal discs, which are supported by a dual-channel ABS system and Panic Brake Alert during sudden hard braking.
