TVS Motor Company marked World Motorcycle Day with a nationwide ride that brought together more than 1,000 riders across 17 cities in India, turning celebration into a clear message on road safety and responsible riding. The initiative united TVS Apache Owners Group and TVS Ronin communities in a collective effort to promote safer habits while celebrating the spirit of motorcycling.
The event reflected a broader idea of what riding means today. For TVS, motorcycling is not only about performance, freedom and adventure, but also about discipline, awareness and respect on the road. By organizing a large-scale ride across multiple cities, the company reinforced its commitment to building a safer and more responsible riding culture in India.
A major focus of the campaign was awareness. Riders were encouraged to prioritize protective gear, follow traffic rules, respect road etiquette and remain mindful of local communities and public spaces. The rides were designed to highlight that thrill and responsibility can go hand in hand, and that safe riding practices are essential for enjoying the road with confidence.
The participation of the TVS Apache Owners Group and the TVS Ronin communities gave the celebration a strong community identity. These rider groups represent two of the brand’s most active and passionate customer bases, and their involvement helped turn the event into a shared movement rather than a simple ride. The strong turnout also showed how motorcycling communities can play an important role in spreading positive habits and reinforcing safety standards.
TVS Motor Company used the occasion to underline the growth of the Apache brand, which is now celebrating 20 years of racing heritage. Over the years, TVS Apache has evolved from a performance-focused motorcycle line into a global community with more than 6.5 million customers. The Apache riding community has also grown significantly, now crossing 500,000 registered members, reflecting the brand’s strong emotional connection with riders.
According to Vimal Sumbly, Head, Premium Business at TVS Motor Company, the essence of motorcycling goes far beyond reaching a destination. He said it is a way of life built on freedom, discipline, responsibility and camaraderie. He added that it was inspiring to see riders across India come together to celebrate riding while showing respect for roads, fellow riders and communities. His remarks also highlighted the significance of the 20-year journey of TVS Apache, a brand rooted in racing DNA and embraced by riders worldwide.
Among the nationwide celebrations, Bengaluru hosted the flagship ride and became the central stage for the day’s activities. More than 100 customers took part in the event, which featured curated riding experiences, community interactions and conversations with industry-leading motorcyclists. The gathering created a space for riders to connect beyond the road and celebrate a shared passion for motorcycling.
The nationwide movement also carried a larger message about the evolving culture of riding in India. As the country sees growing enthusiasm for performance motorcycles and community-led riding experiences, safety remains an essential part of that story. TVS’s initiative positioned responsible motorcycling not as a limitation, but as a core part of the riding experience itself.
By combining celebration with awareness, TVS Motor Company turned World Motorcycle Day into an opportunity to strengthen rider culture across the country. The ride showed that performance, exploration and safety do not need to compete with one another. Instead, they can coexist to create a more mature, disciplined and memorable motorcycling ecosystem.
With this initiative, TVS reaffirmed its role as a brand that not only builds motorcycles but also nurtures the communities that ride them. The nationwide celebration stood as a reminder that the true spirit of motorcycling lies in making every ride safe, responsible and meaningful.
