Ultraviolette’s electric crossover X-47 produced a standout performance at the Ahmedabad Dirt Track 2026, taking first place in both the Adventure up to 450cc category and the Foreign Motorcycle category. Piloted by multiple National Supercross winner Mustufa Namdar, the X-47 was the only electric motorcycle in the field and nonetheless outpaced a strong lineup of conventional internal combustion and purpose built off road machines.

Organized by Falcon Racing at Mud & Metal Motorsports, the Ahmedabad event drew more than 80 riders from India and overseas to compete across 10 amateur and professional classes on an 850 metre technical dirt circuit. The course challenged riders with steep jumps, slush sections and a variety of obstacles that tested machines and riders equally. Against that demanding backdrop the X-47 showed that electric propulsion can meet the rigours of off road racing while delivering competitive speed, traction and durability.

In the Adventure category Mustufa Namdar took an aggressive line from the opening lap and quickly established a lead. By lap four he had lapped five competitors and extended his advantage, finishing clearly ahead of the field and recording the fastest time in that class. His ride combined precise handling with the X-47’s electric power delivery, allowing him to exploit traction out of corners and maintain momentum over rough sections where internal combustion rivals often need to shift gears or manage throttle response.

The X-47 also prevailed in the Foreign Motorcycle class. Starting from third position Mustufa methodically worked through the pack, using the bike’s instant torque and stable chassis dynamics to overtake and then control the race. The twin category victories highlight both rider skill and the machine’s capability across different race scenarios. Ultraviolette emphasized that the X-47 completed the event without electric specific issues such as overheating or range concerns, underscoring the reliability of its design under sustained high load conditions.

Ultraviolette has been positioning the X-47 as a crossover that bridges high performance street riding and aggressive off road capability. The Ahmedabad result gives that positioning real world validation. Electric motorcycles have often been demonstrated on paved tracks or controlled tests but competing wheel to wheel on a demanding dirt circuit against purpose built machines presents a different scale of challenge. The X-47’s success at Ahmedabad therefore represents an important milestone for electric two wheeler engineering in India.

Industry watchers say the X-47’s showing has broader significance for electric mobility and motorsport. First, it counters lingering misconceptions that electric motorcycles cannot match combustion motorcycles in rugged environments. Second, it points to a future where electric platforms are tuned specifically for off road competition, unlocking new racing classes and technical developments. Third, the result can accelerate interest from privateers, teams and event organizers to include more electric entries, which in turn grows the ecosystem for spares, batteries and support infrastructure.

Mustufa Namdar’s role was central to the result. As a multiple National Supercross champion he brought experience of reading changing track conditions and managing tire wear and lines. His feedback on the X-47’s suspension balance, throttle mapping and weight distribution during the event is expected to inform future tune-ups and potential race specific variants. Ultraviolette noted that the team worked closely with Mustufa ahead of the race to optimize settings for the 850 metre circuit and that the collaboration paid dividends on race day.

The Ahmedabad Dirt Track festival included competitors from established motorcycle brands and custom off road builders, making the X-47’s wins all the more notable. Beyond podiums the performance will likely influence consumer perception. Potential buyers who value both on road performance and occasional off road use may see the X-47 as a more versatile proposition than many combustion alternatives, particularly as electric infrastructure and servicing improve.

Ultraviolette’s success also aligns with the growing global trend of electrification in motorsport. Several international series and manufacturers are experimenting with electric classes to showcase technology and engage younger, sustainability minded audiences. Events like Ahmedabad show that electrified two wheeler competition can be compelling for fans and participants while supporting product development under extreme conditions.

Looking ahead Ultraviolette may leverage the Ahmedabad result to expand its racing participation and to develop race oriented packages or support programs for private teams. More immediate outcomes could include increased visibility and stronger enquiries from riders wanting to test the bike for both sport and adventure use. For the broader market the X-47’s performance demonstrates that electric motorcycles can transcend urban commuting roles and compete on more demanding stages.
