Force Motors Posts a 62% Growth in Domestic Wholesales in August 2026
Force Motors has announced a promising start to its September sales performance with a year-on-year growth of 62% in domestic wholesales for August 2026. The Pune-based automaker, known for being India’s largest van manufacturer, has sold 3,721 vehicles in the month, against the 2,295 units of August 2025. This growth is driven by healthy demand in its various segments along with the market’s acceptance of its refreshed line-up of vehicles.
August 2026 Sales Summary
There is a definite upward trend in Force Motors’ domestic sales performance. The increase from 2,295 units to 3,721 units in a single year is a commendable feat, especially considering that Force Motors deals with segments where the total cost of ownership, reliability and after-sales are critical in influencing purchase decisions. The company credits the growth to strong demand in its vehicles’ range as well as stabilisation of production post launch of new models.
New product launches drive growth: Traveller N and Urbania Deluxe
One of the important drivers behind the impressive growth in sales has been the launch of the company’s Traveller N range and Urbania Deluxe models.
Force Traveller N
Since its inception, the Traveller has been a household name in the people mover market segment in India. The Traveller has been extensively used for buses for staff transport, school transportation, tourism and shared mobility purposes.
With a number of enhancements in efficiency, reliability, ride comfort and safety, the Traveller N line-up takes the legacy of Traveller forward. The Traveller N is aimed at fleet owners and institutional buyers that place importance on low cost of operations, availability and passenger comfort over long distances and on varying terrain.
As a result of gradual ramp-up post launch of Traveller N line-up, Force Motors was able to stabilise the volumes of this range. With steady volumes of production, Force Motors has been able to better match the demands of its dealers and customers, which is reflected in the excellent August figures.
Urbania Deluxe
Based on modular monocoque architecture, the Urbania range has already set new benchmarks in premium shared passenger mobility in India. The target market of the range includes high-end airport transfer services, premium corporate shuttles, premium tourism operators and luxury staff transports, where refined interior and ride quality are crucial.
The recently released Urbania Deluxe takes this concept even further by adding a range of premium features. Through enhancing Force Motors’ position in the upmarket segment of shared mobility people mover, Urbania Deluxe helps the company access higher margins and differentiate itself from regular LCV-based people movers.
Management view and strategic focus
Commenting on the results of the month, Mr. Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors, described the growth as “encouraging” and highlighted a good response across the portfolio of models. He added that the release of Traveller N and Urbania Deluxe has improved the company’s product portfolio even more, with positive feedback received from the customers.
As far as the future of the company is concerned, Force Motors plans to remain focused on satisfying customer needs and consistently delivering products and experiences which would fit the customers. It means that the company will concentrate on delivering the right products and experiences with consistency in terms of quality, availability and support, which is especially important for the segments of commercial and shared mobility, when durability, uptime and after sales support play a major role in choosing the brands.
