Renault India launches all new Triber 100PS on the Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP)
Underpinned by the new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP), the Triber 100PS is a fundamentally new vehicle that also retains the familiar silhouette of the Triber family. Renault engineers also state that with the RGEP foundation, the Triber 100PS delivers improved driving dynamics and crash performance, addressing the main criticism of the first generation Triber, namely its ‘floaty’ ride.

The Triber 100PS delivers a significant increase in performance thanks to the new 1.0-litre Turbo TCe 100 petrol engine that replaces the previously available 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine. The new turbo petrol engine develops 100 PS of power and 180 Nm of torque, compared to 72 PS and 110 Nm of the NA engine, making it one of the most powerful engines in its class. The Triber 100PS promises to be a leader in fuel efficiency with a claimed 21 kmpl. The new 5-speed Manual gearbox is also likely to have excellent fuel economy credentials.

The all new Triber 100PS retains the flexibility and practicality that defined the original Triber, with 5, 6 and 7-seat configurations in a sub-4 metre length vehicle. The second row seats slide and recline while the optional third row ‘Easy-Fix’ seats fold flat to create a load bay with a capacity of up to 625 litres. The Triber 100PS also boasts the class-leading ground clearance of 182 mm and a rear air conditioning system (second and third row vents).
Interior features and safety
Across the range, the Triber 100PS offers an extensive list of features and equipment, including a 8-inch floating infotainment screen with Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto compatibility, Cruise Control, Wireless Charging, Smart Access Card (Keyless Entry), Auto Headlamps and Rain-sensing Wipers. Six airbags are standard equipment across the range, along with 21 standard safety features, including the ESP electronic stability programme, Hill Hold Assist, and a Rear Parking Camera with guidelines.

The Triber 100PS range consists of three turbo-specific variants: Evolution, Techno and Emotion. The on-road pricing is as follows:

The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine will continue to be available in the lower specification variants of the Triber 100PS, with prices starting at ₹5.80 Lakh for the entry level 1.0L NA engine.
The Triber 100PS represents a major upgrade on the original Triber, addressing the primary criticism of the first generation model, while retaining the features and flexibility that defined the original Triber.
