Ultraviolette has unleashed the X-47 Venom in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.65 lakh, ex-showroom, and this could just be the most technologically advanced electric motorcycle to ever touch down on Indian roads. The Venom brings a claimed IDC range of 343 km, 40 bhp of power, 12 kW DC fast charging and radar-based rider assistance that typically, we see on expensive international motorcycles.
Launch Price And Availability
The X-47 Venom’s introductory price of Rs 2.65 lakh is restricted to the first 5,000 customers. Thereafter, the regular starting price is expected to increase to Rs 3 lakh.

Detail X-47 Venom
Introductory price Rs 2.65 lakh, ex-showroom
Regular price after first 5,000 units Rs 3 lakh
Claimed IDC range 343 km
Top speed 155 kmph
Deliveries From November 2026
Performance That Feels Properly Fast
The Venom is powered by Ultraviolette’s new UV LIGHTFURY electric motor that puts out 30 kW or around 40 bhp and 550 Nm of torque at the wheel. The company claims a 0-60 kmph time of just 2.7 seconds while the 0-100 kmph sprint time clocks in at 5.9 seconds.
Top speed is rated at 155 kmph which means the Venom is not just city-slicker ready but is also good for highways. Coming in at a kerb weight of 180 kg, the Venom will also be up to 20 kg lighter than the previous-gen X-47 Crossover which should help with agility, braking and handling.
These stats put the Venom in a different league as compared to most electric scooters and commuter bikes in India which is targeted at the riders who want genuine performance, long-distance capability and modern-day technology, not the low-budget city EV.

New VX-100 Platform
The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle to feature on Ultraviolette’s new VX-100 100V architecture. The platform blends in the new motor, an updated motor control unit and the SRB-11 battery system to boost performance, efficiency, cooling and weight reduction.
The SRB-11 battery features a 100V configuration and boasts of up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance as per Ultraviolette. It is housed inside a cast-aluminium enclosure with an IP67 rating to protect against dust and water ingress.
The battery management system also features a pyro-fuse which is designed to disconnect the electrical circuit within microseconds of detecting a critical fault. This is an important safety addition, especially for a high-performance electric motorcycle.
Range And Charging
The headline 343 km IDC range comes from the larger 11 kWh SRB-11 battery pack. As with all IDC figures, we will see a drop in real-world range and that will be heavily dependent on the riding style, speed, traffic, terrain and use of performance modes as well.
The Venom also supports 12 kW DC fast charging which is claimed to be a first for an Indian electric two-wheeler. For regular AC charging, it sports a 1.6 kW onboard charger.
This is a pretty important combo in terms of fast charging which makes it more viable for long rides. However, buyers should ensure that their city has DC charging infrastructure before relying on it for touring.
Radar Safety: A Big Leap For Indian Two-Wheelers
The X-47 Venom gets Ultraviolette’s UV Hypersense radar intelligence, backed by a 77 GHz rear radar with a claimed detection range of up to 200 metres. The system enables a number of motorcycle-focused rider-assistance features.

Key safety features include:
Blind-spot monitoring
Lane-change assistance
Overtake alerts
Rear-collision warnings
Hazard-light activation when a rear threat is detected
The Venom also comes with integrated front and rear dashcams which could be a good tool for ride recording, evidence in case of an accident and general security as well.
Features And Connectivity
The cockpit is focused on a seven-inch TFT touchscreen running Ultraviolette’s Interface X system which supports Mappls-based navigation, cruise control and rear-camera-based park assist for reversing in tight spaces.
The connected VIOLETTE A.I. package features movement alerts, fall detection, towing alerts, crash alerts, remote lockdown and anti-collision alerts among others, giving it a feel of a connected smart vehicle, instead of a motorcycle.
Who Should Buy It?
The X-47 Venom is a clear-cut target for enthusiasts and early adopters who want a premium electric motorcycle with real performance. It’s suited for riders who tackle long distances and have a penchant for technology like advanced safety features. At Rs 2.65 lakh, it’s not a budget EV but the tech, 40 bhp, 343 km claimed range, DC fast charging and radar assistance makes it look like a serious shot at redefining what an Indian electric motorcycle can be.
The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom is not just another electric bike launch, it’s a statement. With its new VX-100 platform, 343 km claimed range, 155 kmph top speed, 12 kW fast charging and radar-based safety, it has the potential to become the benchmark for high-performance electric motorcycles in India.
The biggest questions right now are real-world range, charging access and long-term reliability but on paper, the Venom has given Indian riders something to truly look forward to when deliveries kick in next month.
