Mahindra all cars

Mahindra continued its strong performance in the Indian car market during July 2026, mainly because of steady demand for its SUV range. The company sold 60,048 vehicles last month, compared with 49,871 units in July 2025. This means Mahindra’s sales grew by around 20% over the same period last year.

Compared with June, however, the company’s performance was almost flat. Mahindra had sold 60,393 vehicles in June 2026, so July sales were lower by roughly 1%.

Scorpio remains the biggest seller

The Scorpio family once again led Mahindra’s sales chart. Combined sales of the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic stood at 16,009 units in July. During the same month last year, Mahindra had sold 13,747 units of the two SUVs.

This works out to a 16% year-on-year increase. The Scorpio range also performed better than it did in June, when it recorded sales of 14,097 units. With the updated Scorpio N now offering more features, Mahindra could see further interest in the SUV in the coming months.

The Thar secured the second position with 10,558 units sold in July. A year ago, the lifestyle SUV had recorded sales of 9,845 units, resulting in a 7% annual growth.

There was a small decline compared with June, when Mahindra sold 10,669 units of the Thar. Still, the SUV continues to attract buyers who want a rugged design, strong road presence and off-road ability.

XUV 3XO delivers strong growth

The XUV 3XO was one of the biggest success stories in Mahindra’s July sales report. The compact SUV recorded 9,429 units, up from 7,238 units in July last year. This represents a 30% year-on-year increase.

Sales were slightly lower than the 10,063 units recorded in June, but the XUV 3XO remains one of Mahindra’s most important models. Its modern styling, long list of features and strong engine options have helped it compete effectively in the compact SUV segment.

The Bolero also had a good month. Mahindra sold 9,336 units of the MUV in July, compared with 7,513 units a year earlier. Sales increased by 24% year-on-year.

The Bolero was also among the few Mahindra models to record month-on-month growth. Its sales rose from 9,115 units in June to 9,336 units in July. The vehicle continues to find buyers in smaller cities, rural areas and commercial markets, where its simple design and rugged construction remain major advantages.

The XUV 7XO contributed 8,233 units to Mahindra’s total sales. This was 17% higher than the 7,054 units sold in July 2025. However, compared with June, sales fell by 11%, as the SUV had recorded 9,244 units during that month.

Electric SUVs show mixed results

Mahindra’s electric SUV range did not deliver a uniform performance in July. The XEV 9S recorded 4,131 units, slightly more than the 4,018 units sold in June. The model appears to be gradually gaining importance within Mahindra’s EV portfolio.

The XEV 9e, on the other hand, reported 1,793 units in July. This was 27% lower than the 2,462 units sold in July 2025. Its sales also declined by 11% compared with June.

The BE 6 faced a sharper drop. Sales fell to 541 units in July from 1,546 units in the same month last year. The model recorded a 65% year-on-year decline and was also down 53% from the 1,150 units sold in June.

The XUV400 had an especially weak month, with only 18 units sold compared with 290 units in July 2025. That translates into a 94% annual decline. Meanwhile, the Marazzo did not record a single unit during the month.

Mahindra’s July figures show that its conventional SUV range remains the company’s biggest strength. The Scorpio, Thar, XUV 3XO and Bolero continue to attract buyers, while the electric models are still going through a mixed phase. Mahindra’s upcoming launches and product updates will be important as the company looks to strengthen both its SUV and EV businesses.
