Splendor Still Dominates Sales Performance of Hero MotoCorp
Splendor still topped the sales charts of Hero MotoCorp in July 2026. This highly-popular commuter motorcycle sold 3,35,246 units, posting a year-on-year sales growth of 35.88% against 2,46,715 units sold in July 2025.
However, Splendor registered month-on-month decrease in sales of 5.04% from 3,53,024 units in June 2026. Even then, this motorcycle accounted for 67.06% of Hero MotoCorp’s total domestic sales.
Performance of Splendor reflects its continuing popularity among Indian commuters. Fuel-efficiency, reliable performance, easy maintenance and widespread servicing of this commuter motorcycle continue to make it a popular choice in both urban and rural markets.
There are various models and price segments available in Splendor range, which allow Hero MotoCorp to meet needs of a wider customer base. Splendor is one of the most important products in India’s two-wheelers market and forms the core of Hero MotoCorp’s sales performance.
HF Deluxe Lags Behind
HF Deluxe finished at second position in domestic sales performance of Hero MotoCorp with 55,978 units in July. This motorcycle recorded 26.38% growth in sales compared with June, but suffered a year-on-year slump of 21.68%.
HF Deluxe has been a regular performer in the past, registering monthly sales of more than one lakh units regularly. Its current volumes have fallen well behind those of Splendor.
Growing disparity between sales volumes of the two commuter motorcycles reflect increasing dependency of Hero MotoCorp on the Splendor range. While HF Deluxe continues to cater to customers looking for a reliable commuter motorcycle, Splendor has cemented its position in Hero MotoCorp portfolio.
Vida Electric Scooter Becomes Third-Best Selling Product of Hero MotoCorp
Vida electric scooters proved to be the biggest highlight of Hero MotoCorp’s sales performance in July 2026. This range recorded sales of 22,707 units, nearly doubling from 11,225 units in July 2025.
Hero MotoCorp recorded a sales figure of 4,99,943 units for July 2026, posting impressive year-on-year growth of 21.56% over 4,11,271 units sold in the corresponding period of last year. However, the company’s month-on-month performance did not show significant improvement as sales declined slightly by 0.34% from 5,01,661 units posted in June 2026.
The sales performance reconfirms the significant contribution of the Splendor series, while the sales of Vida electric scooters grew at a rapid pace. Hero MotoCorp’s Xoom 125 and Xpulse series also posted encouraging figures, while some of the company’s premium motorcycles and Xtreme 125R recorded a drop in demand.
Splendor Relevance Unquestionable
Hero MotoCorp’s sales performance in July 2026 showed the continuing dominance of the Splendor range. The commuter motorcycle clocked sales of 3,35,246 units, up 35.88% from 2,46,715 units sold in July 2025.
However, Splendor sales fell 5.04% as the model posted 3,53,024 units of sales in June. Even with the decline, the motorcycle accounted for 67.06% of Hero MotoCorp’s total domestic sales.
The impressive performance of the motorcycle is testimony to its continued popularity among the commuters in India. The reputation of the motorcycle as a fuel-efficient, reliable, easy-to-maintain and accessible bike has contributed to its popularity in both urban and rural markets.
The motorcycle is available in several versions and at different price points enabling the company to tap the requirements of a wider range of customers. The Splendor is one of the most significant products in India’s two-wheeler market.
HF Deluxe Falls Short
The HF Deluxe occupied the second place in the sales performance of Hero MotoCorp in July 2026. The motorcycle recorded sales of 55,978 units, showing 26.38% improvement over 44,292 units in June. However, the motorcycle registered a year-on-year fall of 21.68%.
The HF Deluxe was a consistently performing motorcycle that was able to sell above one lakh units on many occasions. However, the sales volumes of the motorcycle are now much lower compared with Splendor.
The rising difference in the sales figures of the two commuter motorcycles indicates the increasing dependence of Hero MotoCorp on the Splendor brand. While the HF Deluxe continues to serve buyers seeking an affordable and efficient motorcycle, the Splendor has managed to cement its position in the Hero portfolio.
Vida Becomes Third-Bestselling Product
Vida electric scooters have emerged as one of the most notable highlights of the sales performance of Hero MotoCorp in July. The electric scooter range posted sales of 22,707 units, more than doubling the sales of 11,225 units in July 2025.
This resulted in a year-on-year growth of 102.29%. The sales of Vida have also witnessed an 11.22% month-on-month growth compared with June.
It helped Hero to place Vida as the third best selling product in July, surpassing several well-established petrol-powered motorcycles and scooters. The rapid growth shows that electric scooters are assuming increasing importance to Hero’s operations.
Vida’s improving sales may get support from the increasing prevalence of electric mobility, soaring prices of fuel, growing consumer awareness and efforts to strengthen the product range and charging ecosystem. The sales performance of the electric scooters also suggests that Hero’s strategy for electric mobility is beginning to bear fruit.
Passion and Destini Deliver Mixed Results
The Passion motorcycle has recorded 19,211 units in July. The sales have been up 6.09% year-on-year and 25.64% month-on-month.
The motorcycle still occupies an important place in the commuter portfolio of Hero and appeals to consumers who are looking for an easy-to-use motorcycle with a familiar look.
The Destini 125 scooter has sold 19,142 units. It recorded 2.96% year-on-year decline and 13.03% month-on-month decline in the sales.
The nearly equal sales of Passion and Destini point towards increasing importance of scooters to Hero MotoCorp’s product lineup. The company is making efforts to strengthen the product line of scooters through Destini 125, Xoom and Pleasure.
Sales of Glamour were 12,995 units. Though the motorcycle registered 21.49% year-on-year increase in sales, there was a 7.36% month-on-month decline.

Xtreme 125R Records Declining Sales
The Xtreme 125R posted sales of 9,696 units in July. There was a 21.09% year-on-year decline and 26.66% month-on-month decline in the sales of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle had come out as a strong competitor in the sporty 125 cc category along with competitors like TVS Raider, Bajaj Pulsar N125 and Honda SP 125. The declining trend of the motorcycle suggests that the motorcycle may be facing stiff competition.
Hero MotoCorp has recently updated the features of the Xtreme 125R through the addition of new features like TFT display and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. This can help in improving the appeal of the motorcycle and reviving its sales in the coming months.
Another avenue that the company may look into is the improvement in terms of styling, technology and showroom presence to attract younger buyers.
Xpulse and Xoom Pick Up Pace
Xpulse adventure motorcycle achieved sales figures of 4,649 units in July. This marks an increase of 15.56% year-on-year and 57.22% month-on-month.
The increase shows growing interest in affordable adventure motorcycles and lifestyle products. Xpulse is recognized for its upright riding posture, large suspension travel and capability to handle a combination of city and light off-road terrain.
Hero’s Xoom scooters also showed good numbers. Xoom 125 was sold at 9,375 units, growing 43.28% year-on-year and 39.07% month-on-month.
Xoom 160 had sales of 1,653 units, growing 13.37% month-on-month. Pleasure sales were at 8,470 units, growing negligibly year-on-year, but 18.94% month-on-month.
Premium Motorcycles Face Troubles
The premium motorcycles from Hero did not do so well in July 2026. The Xtreme 160R recorded sales of only 498 units, down 68.82% year-on-year.
Sales for the Xtreme 250R stood at 322 units. While there was a decline of 12.26% year-on-year, there was growth of 59.41% month-on-month.
Karizma 210 had just 1 unit sale in July after posting zero sales in June. Hero MotoCorp will be launching a new Karizma 250 and that could give a new life to the nameplate.
Mavrick 440 posted zero sales in July compared to 3 units in June and 5 units in July 2025. Despite sharing its platform with the Harley-Davidson X440, the motorcycle seems to have failed to make a mark in India’s premium segment.
July 2026 sales results of Hero MotoCorp highlight the dichotomy in demand. The Splendor remains dominant, Vida sales are growing fast, and Xoom and Xpulse motorcycles are also finding buyers. However, at the same time, Hero will need to change its premium motorcycles’ strategy and revitalize its struggling motorcycles.
