Nissan Motor India has launched a limited time offer.
Offering customers the opportunity to upgrade their Magnite or Gravite with a government approved CNG retrofit kit, free of charge. The offer runs until November 16th 2026 and will save you ₹74,999 on the Magnite or ₹85,999 on the Gravite.
What Nissan Are Offering
Eligible customers will be able to get their CNG retrofit at no extra cost. The retrofit kit for the Magnite usually costs ₹74,999 and for the Gravite ₹85,999. However, eligible variants have the retrofit kit fitted free of charge.
This offer is only available on specific variants. The Magnite can be upgraded to CNG free of charge on eligible non-turbo variants. However, this is not available on the Visia MT, Visia EZ-Shift or Visia+ MT variants. The Gravite can be upgraded to CNG free of charge on eligible Tekna variants. Customers will need to speak with their nearest authorised Nissan dealership to find out if their variant is eligible, and to what extent there is stock available and how long it will take to retrofit.
Why This is Great
CNG is a popular fuel choice in India due to the potential cost reductions, however the retrofit kit can cause quite a hefty price. So Nissan are helping you by absorbing this cost during the festive season, making their CNG variants much more appealing.
Saving up to nearly ₹75k on the Magnite, which starts at around ₹5.69 Lakh (Ex-Showroom), is a great saving. Customers looking to buy this variant could easily be tempted into going for the CNG variant, especially as on the Gravite you’re saving almost ₹86k. If the customer is part of a family, or drives a lot of miles, then this could be very tempting. Especially in cities where CNG is available.
Magnite CNG
The Magnite received its CNG retrofit kit back in May 2025. The retrofit kit is government approved and has been developed, produced and quality assured by third party supplier Motozen. The retrofit kit can be fitted at government approved fitting centres.
The CNG upgrade is only available on the 1.0L naturally aspirated engine with a manual transmission. It is not available on the turbo petrol engine or automatic variants. This retrofit kit will help improve the fuel economy of the car and give a cleaner alternative to petrol.
Nissan have provided a warranty for the CNG components. This is a third party warranty and covers any issues with the retrofit kit. This is covered under a 3 year/1 Lakh KM warranty.
Gravite CNG
The Gravite received its retrofit kit back in May 2026. Unlike most single cylinder setups, the Gravite has a twin cylinder setup. There are two 25L CNG tanks. These are stacked on top of each other to allow the car to still have its 7 seater layout.
As it is a 7 seater MPV, this is important. Although the tanks are taking up space in the boot, Nissan have ensured the car still has a 7 seater modular setup.
Some key features of this retrofit kit are:
2 x 25L CNG Cylinders.
Sequential BS6.2 CNG System.
ICAT Approved.
8.1mm thick Cylinders.
Gravite Optimised Dynamic Advancer Tech.
CNG Filling Port under the Fuel Cap.
Easy Switch Between Petrol & CNG.
The retrofit kit has been developed and quality assured by Motozen. It has a 3 year/1 Lakh KM warranty.
Availability
The Gravite CNG retrofit kit is available at Nissan Authorised Dealerships across 16 different states and around 60 different cities. This means it is available in many major markets.
The CNG retrofit kit was originally made available to customers in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala & Karnataka. However, they have expanded this to more states. Customers will need to speak to their local dealership to find out if they will have the free retrofit kit and if it will be available in their city.

Cost Savings
The biggest benefit of CNG is the reduced cost per km. In many cities CNG is cheaper than petrol. So if the customer is driving lots of miles daily, or is part of a fleet, this could cause some big savings. The retrofit kits for both the Magnite and Gravite will improve your fuel economy. However they still have the option of driving on petrol.
However, CNG availability will vary depending on the city. The Gravite does have a twin cylinder setup which takes up some of the boot space. Also, you could see some small performance loss when driving on CNG. If the customer has easy access to CNG stations and drives a lot of miles annually then this could be worth it.
Festive Offer
This free retrofit offer is a great way to help boost sales during the festive season. Instead of offering a cash discount, Nissan are giving customers a high value practical benefit. This could entice cost conscious customers who want to save money long term.
This will also help position the Magnite and Gravite as economical family cars. The Magnite is aimed at compact SUV buyers who want an affordable and economical car. The Gravite is aimed at bigger families who need a 7 seater and want to save on fuel.
Things To Check
Customers will need to speak to an authorised Nissan dealership to check:
If their desired Magnite or Gravite variant is eligible for the free retrofit.
If it is available in their city/state.
How long it will take to retrofit.
What the warranty is for the retrofit. This is a third party warranty and covers 3 years/1 Lakh KM.
If there will be an issue with boot space. Especially with the Gravite.
What the CNG price is locally, and how many stations are available.
This is one of the most practical offers available in the Indian passenger vehicle market. Nissan are offering customers the opportunity to upgrade their Magnite with the ₹74,999 CNG Retrofit Kit and Gravite with the ₹85,999 CNG Retrofit Kit, free of charge until November 16th 2026. This will make CNG much more accessible.
If you’re in a city that uses CNG and drive a lot of miles daily this could be very tempting. However, you will need to make sure your variant is eligible and can be retrofitted quickly as this offer is only available for a limited time and will likely be subject to availability.
