The Hero MotoCorp has introduced an entirely new special edition to the Destini 110 family scooter range.
The Destini 110 Classique Edition. With an MSRP of INR 76,400 (Ex-showroom, Delhi), we get some neat neo-retro styling, two-tone colouring and unique aesthetic touches with no mechanical changes.
Pricing
This special edition is based on the Destini 110 VX model and will cost INR 1,400 more than the base model, which is INR 75,000. However, it is still INR 7,400 cheaper than the top model ZX variant.
With a price tag of INR 76,400 this special edition is aimed at buyers wanting to upgrade the look of their 110cc family scooter without going for the top ZX model. Hero have marketed this model as a special edition for the festive period and will be available via authorised dealerships in India.
The scooter can be found on Hero MotoCorp’s official Indian website. It is now available to buy at showrooms nationwide.
Design
The real changes here are purely aesthetic. The Destini 110 Classique Edition comes with some great neo-retro styling to give the scooter a more classic and premium look.
The special edition comes in two different two-tone colour options.
Matt Goldfish Silver / Light Industrial Grey with brown inner panels.
Matt Aries Brown with black inner panels.
Both options come with new stripe graphics on the front handlebar cover and side panels. There are also colour matched mirrors, a colour matched seat and inner panels, branded spokes and a unique 3D Classique Edition badge.
Chrome still plays a big part in this scooter’s design. With the new colour options and retro graphics it looks much more unique than the standard model.
Engine
There are no mechanical changes on this special edition. It uses the same 110.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder fuel injected engine as seen on the base model.
It produces 8.15 PS (around 8.1bhp) of power at 7,250rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a CVT automatic gearbox, making it a simple and easy choice for daily commutes.
Hero have kept their Idle Start-Stop System (i3S), meaning the engine will turn off when the scooter is stopped and start again when you twist the throttle. This improves fuel economy further in busy stop-start city traffic.
Hero claim it has a fuel economy of 56.2kmpl, one of the best in the 110cc segment. This makes it an attractive option for those looking for a scooter with low running costs.

Features
Despite the retro styling, the Destini 110 Classique Edition still offers great practicality. It has a long 785mm seat, which Hero claim is the longest in the segment. This means there plenty of room for both the rider and pillion.
It also has 19 litres of storage underneath the seat, plus a front storage box. The boot light makes it easier to see inside when it’s dark. The front storage has a USB charging point so you can charge your smartphone whilst on the go.
It also has a digital-analogue dash, alloy wheels, LED projector headlamp, LED tail light and position light. The front storage box with charging for your mobile is really useful for daily commuters.
Specs
The Destini 110 Classique Edition comes with 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. It has a 90/90-12 tyre at the front and a 100/80-12 tyre at the rear. This should give it more stability and grip thanks to the larger rear tyre.
It has a telescopic front fork and mono-shock rear suspension. Both front and rear brakes are drums and have combined braking. The front disc brake is only available on the ZX variant.
It has a wheelbase of 1,302mm, seat height of 770mm and ground clearance of 162mm. Weighing in at 114kg kerb weight, it has a 5.3 litre fuel tank.
Comparison
Model Price Brakes Main differences
Destini 110 VX INR 75,000 Front/rear Drum Standard design
Destini 110 Classique Edition INR 76,400 Front/rear Drum Neo-retro design, unique colouring
Destini 110 ZX INR 83,800 Front Disc/Rear Drum More features, front disc brake
The Destini 110 Classique Edition doesn’t offer the front disc brake or extra premium features of the ZX. It is purely a style upgrade, giving you a more stylish version of the VX for a small price increase.
If you are looking for good braking performance then the ZX would still be the way to go. Ultimately, the Classique Edition is all about the style.
Despite this, it still offers a great level of practicality with the claimed 56.2kmpl, long seat, 19 litre boot, USB charging and family friendly dimensions. It has all the practicality of the Destini 110, just with a more classic and festive design.
