Citroën India today unveiled the limited-run Aircross Comfort Edition, a value-led variant aimed at delivering premium in-cabin comfort and practical technology across even the model’s entry-level trims. Priced from INR 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom), the Comfort Edition packages premium leatherette interiors and a choice of structured comfort packs that give buyers flexible, feature-rich upgrades without a steep price premium.

The launch timed as part of Citroën’s 108th year celebration responds to growing customer demand for enhanced comfort and richer feature sets at accessible prices. Citroën says the Comfort Edition reinforces its “comfort-led” product philosophy by standardizing segment-first elements such as Metropolitan Beige leatherette upholstery across all Comfort Edition trims, along with improved ergonomics and refined cabin finishes.

“Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said: ‘At Citroën, comfort is at the heart of our product philosophy. We have been closely listening to our customers, who are increasingly seeking more features, enhanced comfort, and a premium in-cabin experience at value-driven price points. The Aircross Comfort Edition is a direct response to this evolving demand.’”

Key upgrades focus on tangible, everyday benefits. All Comfort Edition variants receive adjustable front and rear headrests and interior treatments featuring black grained and soft-touch finishes with silver accents (depending on variant). Citroën positions these changes as improvements that elevate daily driving and ownership experiences without shifting the Aircross’s positioning as an affordable family-oriented SUV.

Rather than bundling a fixed set of options, the Comfort Edition introduces three distinct Comfort Packs that let buyers tailor the level of added convenience and technology to their needs and budget:

  • YOU Pack (INR 36,600): Core comfort and styling upgrades including soft-touch instrument panel (IP), fog lamps, a 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse camera with guidelines, door cladding with chrome inserts, and full wheel covers.

  • PLUS Pack (INR 8,460): Adds convenience-focused items such as a reverse camera with guidelines, wireless charger, door cladding with chrome insert, and additional styling enhancements.

  • MAX Pack (INR 40,000): A premium bundle that includes JBL speakers with an amplifier and an advanced Front, Cabin & Rear dashcam system featuring predictive safety alerts audio notifications for front collision, lane change, pedestrian collision, vehicle ahead start, and vehicle distance.

Citroën’s packaging strategy aims to democratize features often found higher up the trim ladder, enabling customers to pick upgrades that matter most to them. The MAX Pack’s predictive dashcam, for example, brings enhanced safety-oriented alerts to owners who prioritize active assistance and recording capability.

The Comfort Edition is available in three variant-price points: YOU NA MT at INR 9,09,000; PLUS NA MT at INR 9,99,000; and PLUS TURBO 7s MT at INR 11,99,000. Bookings are open at Citroën dealerships across India and via the brand’s digital channels.

Industry context: automakers are increasingly offering high-value editions and modular option packs to balance affordability with rising customer expectations for technology and premium interiors. Citroën’s approach mirrors this trend by making leatherette and comfort features standard on a limited-run edition while avoiding inflation of base prices across the wider lineup.

The move also aligns with Stellantis’ broader strategy in India to expand brand appeal through tailored features and localization. By offering multiple packs, Citroën can cater to budget-conscious buyers who want specific upgrades such as better infotainment or enhanced cabin safety without committing to a single costly trim.

Customer reaction and market outlook will depend on factors such as after-sales support, perceived value of the packs, and how rival brands respond. If well received, the Aircross Comfort Edition could pressure competitors to include more premium elements in lower-priced variants or to offer similarly flexible pack-based options.
