India-based Japanese automaker Yamaha has introduced new colours and tech upgrades for its popular 125cc Fi Hybrid scooter range. The latest upgrade cycle brings a fresh look to the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters. Moreover, the sportier RayZR Street Rally variant will get a colour TFT instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation.
Yamaha made the announcement on August 18, 2026, from Chennai. The latest iteration is meant for fashion-conscious and style-savvy riders who value a mix of good looks, performance, practicality and connected technologies. The refreshed Yamaha scooters are available across dealerships of the Indian subsidiary.
RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid Gets a Sporty Refresh
The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid scooter remains the sportier and more energetic one of the brand’s line-up. To refresh the model, Yamaha has introduced new paint finishes and redesigned graphics for the 125cc scooter range.
The biggest news is related to the sportier RayZR Street Rally variant that is getting a colour TFT instrument cluster. The feature works in tandem with turn-by-turn navigation. Thanks to the latest upgrade, owners of the latest model year will no longer need to take out their smartphone and access Google Maps to find their way around the town.
There are two variations of the sportier RayZR Street Rally scooter. The one fitted with the TFT cluster is offered in Matte Titan and Matte Black. The LCD one gets Ice Fluo Vermillion and Matte Black.
The regular 125cc RayZR variant with the disc brake is available in Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue and Ice Fluo Vermillion. The one with the drum brake gets Metallic Black only.
Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid Gets New Colours
The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooter has also undergone a visual overhaul. The product is known for its rounder and more elegant lines and premium appearance. Now the scooter comes in new colour variants and redesigned graphics elements.
In particular, the Fascino S variant has a new look with the Metallic Orangish Gray- SPL colour scheme. The disc-brake Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is offered in Metallic Light Green, Cool Blue Metallic and Matte Black colour schemes. As for the drum-brake Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid variant, it is available in Yellow Cocktail.
While the sportier RayZR is designed keeping specific users in mind, the Fascino has a more versatile look that appeals to all genders and is more universal.
Yamaha claims that the target audience of the scooter is young people wanting their vehicle to be a reflection of their personal style and lively lifestyle.
Moreover, the Fascino S now also gets a color TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation. In addition to this, it offers Answer Back functionality, allowing users to locate their scooters even in crowded parking places.

The updated range of the 125cc Yamaha scooters is competitive enough, as its pricing starts at below ₹80,000 and goes up to over ₹1 lakh for the top-spec RayZR Street Rally TFT.
Improved Fuel Efficiency Through Hybrid Technology
As was mentioned above, both RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid get the Yamaha Smart Motor Generator, or SMG, hybrid technology. It is complemented by Enhanced Power Assist that offers extra assistance when accelerating.
The hybrid technology makes the scooters smoother and more responsive in terms of picking up the speed, especially when riding away from traffic lights or climbing an incline. The scooters also have the Yamaha Silent Start System, making it possible to start the engine without the usual noise caused by cranking.
Another important technology feature is the Stop & Start System. It turns off the engine automatically when the scooter stays idle for a while, like waiting at a traffic light and turns it back on when the user starts accelerating. This may help save some extra fuel when staying idle in the city traffic.
Both scooters are able to use E20 fuel, making it easier for India to switch to fuel with higher concentration of ethanol in it.

The new Yamaha scooters still have some practical features aimed at making life easy. Telescopic front suspension is included to provide better handling and comfort over rough road surfaces.
Both scooters have 21-litre under-seat storage space. Thus, one may put there some necessities for the day such as a small backpack or rain equipment. There is also a side-stand engine cut-off feature that will prevent the engine from operating while the side stand is activated.
The connectivity with the smartphone is provided for all models as well. However, for the Fascino S and RayZR Street Rally, there is additional navigation through the colour TFT instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation and Answer Back feature.
