JSW MG Motor India had a strong month in October 2026, selling 8,013 wholesale units, up 19% compared to the same month in 2025.
The strong festive sales follow the launch of the Hector Tomahawk EV and Windsor Indulge Edition, which helps put MG in a strong position in India’s growing EV market.
October 2026 Sales
The strong sales performance from MG in October saw the brand sell 8,013 units wholesale. While this doesn’t account for retail sales as they are units shipped to the dealers, it still shows that MG had a great month with sales increasing by 19% year-on-year. This demonstrates that there is growing demand for the brand, it had better supply and has added new products successfully to meet demand during the festive period.
This is an important month for MG as they have moved away from being known purely as an EV brand. They now have a range of EVs, luxury SUVs and special editions to meet different customer needs. October has shown that this strategy is paying off.

The launch of the Hector Tomahawk EV alongside the Windsor Indulge Edition helped generate new interest. The Hector Tomahawk EV means MG has a larger EV with great range. The Windsor Indulge Edition provides a luxurious version of one of MG’s most popular EVs.
MG’s EV Strategy
MG had a strong month in October, showing just how important EVs are for them in India. They now have many EVs available at various price points and shapes. From the Windsor EV to the Hector Tomahawk EV they can meet many customer needs. Customers looking for an affordable city car can buy one while those wanting a larger family EV can.
MG are also using the BaaS option to help customers get into EVs. By lowering the initial cost of the car customers will be more likely to buy. The Hector Tomahawk EV can be bought from only ₹13.99 lakh.
MG’s Future
JSW MG Motor India has had a strong start to the last quarter of the year with sales of 8,013 units in October 2026. Their growing range of EVs, plus the demand during the festive period and new special editions should help keep sales up.
To turn this into long term success they will need to ensure they have consistent supply, grow their charging infrastructure and keep prices competitive. The Hector Tomahawk EV has started to be supplied early, and the Windsor Indulge Edition will be a luxurious car to watch.
