BMW Group India has launched its annual Monsoon Service Campaign across its authorised dealer network to help customers prepare their vehicles for the season ahead. With India facing unpredictable weather patterns and heavy rainfall in many regions, the campaign offers comprehensive preventive inspections and expert aftersales care to ensure safety, reliability and driving comfort during the monsoon months.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said the campaign reflects the company’s customer first approach and commitment to a seamless ownership experience. He noted that certified technicians, advanced diagnostics and Genuine BMW Parts form the backbone of the initiative and allow the company to provide customers with peace of mind and uninterrupted driving pleasure despite changing seasonal conditions.
The Monsoon Service Campaign is built around a complimentary vehicle health check performed by BMW technical experts. The inspection covers a wide range of items that are critical for safe and trouble free motoring in wet conditions. Key checks include windscreen wiper condition and washer system performance for both front and rear, rain light sensor and auto wiper functionality, electrical checks to ensure proper alignment of headlights and fog lights, and horn operation. Micro filters are inspected and replaced as necessary to maintain air quality within the cabin.
Sealing and water ingress prevention receive particular attention. Technicians will assess door and trunk lid weather strips, sunroof cover seals and trunk lid ventilation. Sunroof drainpipes will be inspected for blockages, and the engine control unit box will be cleaned where needed. Electric plug connections in the engine compartment and underbody will be checked for corrosion or looseness to prevent moisture related electrical faults.
Given the increased risk of underbody damage and corrosion during the monsoon, the campaign includes a thorough vehicle underbody inspection to check for damage, incorrect positioning, corrosion and loose components. Tyres are more critical than ever in wet weather, so tyre tread depth, damages such as cuts or bulges, irregular wear and correct tyre pressure will be examined and advised upon. The exhaust system will also be visually inspected for leaks or breakages. Brake testing forms part of the package, with checks on brake pad condition and brake fluid to ensure optimal stopping performance on slick roads.
For battery electric and plug in hybrid models the campaign includes additional checks tailored to high voltage systems. Charging cable and high voltage charging socket will be examined for damage, corrosion and wear. Underbody inspections will include BEV and PHEV specific components to ensure they remain protected against moisture and road debris.
The complimentary checks are supported by advanced diagnostic tools and the expertise of BMW technicians who can identify early signs of wear or potential failure. Customers can book service appointments at their nearest authorised BMW workshop and receive personalised guidance on seasonal maintenance and safe driving practices in wet conditions.
BMW Group India runs periodic service campaigns throughout the year to keep vehicles in optimum condition. As part of its ongoing customer benefits, cars older than five years qualify for a special discount under the BMW Joy Rewards programme during these campaigns. Details of offers and additional vehicle checks will be available at participating service camps.
The initiative also underlines the broader benefits of proactive vehicle care. Regular inspections and timely maintenance reduce the likelihood of breakdowns, preserve resale value and help avoid higher repair costs that can arise from water ingress or corrosion left unchecked. For drivers, well maintained wipers, lighting, tyres and brakes translate directly into safer journeys and reduced stress when driving in heavy rain.
BMW Group India is encouraging customers to take advantage of the Monsoon Service Campaign early in the season to address vulnerabilities before they escalate. The company’s network of authorised workshops across the country aims to ensure that appointments are accessible and that technicians are equipped to handle both conventional and electrified BMW models.
By offering free vehicle health checks backed by diagnostic capability and Genuine BMW Parts the campaign aims to deliver practical value to owners and reinforce BMW Group India’s promise of attentive and reliable aftersales care. Customers who prioritise monsoon readiness will find the campaign a useful way to prepare their cars for the challenges of the season while enjoying the reassurance of professional technical support.
