Ultraviolette have brought their Tesseract Maxi electric scooter to EICMA 2026, giving it a world premiere in Europe.

The version that has been showcased at the show features a bigger 6kWh battery, 20hp power and has access to Ultraviolette’s Hypersense radar-assisted rider tech to make it one of the most advanced electric scooters at the show.

World Premiere In Milan

The Tesseract Maxi was introduced in India back in March 2025. However, the model we’re looking at here has been designed specifically for the European market. We’ve yet to hear any news on when it will be launched in Europe, how much it will cost and what the final homologation details will be.

By showcasing the scooter at EICMA, it shows that Ultraviolette are aiming to have a global brand, and not just one that exports its Indian version. There are specific changes to the scooter for the European market, with a bigger battery, improved performance and advanced rider-assist features.

It is aimed at those looking for a high-end urban commuter.

Performance

The scooter features a larger 6kWh battery for the European market. A bigger upgrade than the 3.5kWh and 5kWh batteries offered in India. This means the scooter can offer a range of up to 240km in Eco mode.

The hub motor provides up to 15kW (20hp) of power and 45Nm of torque. They claim it can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 125kmph.

This puts it in the high-performance maxiscooter category. The high levels of torque should make it a breeze to ride around town. The top speed should also be more than enough for anyone that will be riding on highways or motorways.

Battery

With the larger 6kWh battery, the European version of the Tesseract Maxi is definitely ahead of the Indian version. The larger battery should mean you’ll get a better range from the scooter if you’re using higher performance modes.

We’ve yet to hear how long it will take to charge the battery on the European version, however given it is a bigger battery and offers higher performance, it will likely require a more powerful charging system than entry-level electric scooters.

The 240km range in Eco mode is impressive for an electric scooter, although your real-world range will vary depending on how you ride, traffic, temperature and whether you use performance modes. However, it makes the Tesseract Maxi competitive within the high-end EV two-wheeler market.

Hypersense Radar

The main highlight of the European version is the inclusion of Hypersense rider assist technology. This uses radar to provide additional safety features.

Blind spot detection will help you know if there is a vehicle approaching from behind or alongside you. This is great for keeping you safe whilst riding around busy cities. Rear collision warning will also help to keep you aware of any vehicles approaching from behind quickly.

Ultraviolette claim the technology has been designed to overcome the problems of riding in busy cities. The scooter can be vulnerable when vehicles change lanes, overtake closely or come from blind spots. Introducing radar assistance makes it one of the first in its class to offer this feature.

Infotainment

The scooter features a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display. The display includes Google Maps navigation so riders can use turn-by-turn navigation.

The display is designed to be your main point of contact for navigation, vehicle and connectivity features. The large display gives the scooter a premium feel.

With Google Maps included, it will appeal to those in Europe who expect connectivity from their premium two-wheelers. It helps to show that this scooter is designed as a smart urban commuter.

Design

The Tesseract Maxi follows the futuristic angular design seen in India. The scooter has a large body, upright riding position and maxi scooter sizing to ensure it is comfortable to ride for both rider and pillion.

The performance figures and larger battery tell us that this scooter is aimed at being more than just a short-range city commuter. The 125kmph top speed and up to 240km range can make it a practical daily commuter.

The radar assistance makes it a good option for those who regularly ride in busy city conditions. Often awareness of vehicles around you is more important than acceleration and range.

More Powerful And Advanced

The European version of the Tesseract Maxi is certainly more powerful and advanced than the Indian version. The Indian version had 3.5kWh and 5kWh battery options. Whereas the European version comes with a 6kWh battery.

The 20hp and 125kmph top speed makes it more powerful than the Indian version. This suggests that the European version may be used as a benchmark for a high-spec version in the future.

We’ve yet to hear whether this scooter will come with the 6kWh battery, 20hp motor and Hypersense radar in India.

What It Means For Ultraviolette

By introducing the Tesseract Maxi to Europe, it shows that Ultraviolette are creating products with global standards. They are not only trying to create a high-performance scooter, they also include safety features and connectivity.

The inclusion of Hypersense radar makes it stand out. They’re moving away from focusing on range and speed and instead providing real-world safety features.

If the Tesseract Maxi does well in Europe, it will help Ultraviolette gain credibility in the international market.

The Ultraviolette Tesseract Maxi is one of the most interesting electric scooters at EICMA 2026. The scooter offers a 6kWh battery, 20hp motor, 125kmph top speed, 240km range and radar-assist rider tech to make it a serious high-end maxiscooter.

Whilst we may not see the same version in India, it shows Ultraviolette have some serious technological capabilities and are aiming to be a global brand. If they do bring the larger battery and Hypersense radar to India, the Tesseract Maxi will be one of the most advanced electric scooters available.
